Benson, AZ

Well it is time to move on. We left Tucson for Benson. We stayed at Kartchner Caverns State Park. The campsites had water and electric hookups. Located in walking distance to the caves.

On to Bisbee a mining town. We took a tour through the Queen Mine. We took a train into the mine. The were lots of displays and information about the town. The mine stopped operating in 1975. One of the miners from back then is giving tours now. We had lunch at Santiago's. We walked around town looking in the antique shops. It was pretty neat to see the old Sprouse Reitz store since I worked at one when I was in high school. The weather was cool, but nice. We had a fun day.
